Purpose
These terms govern the use of HelloHai (website, iPhone, Android and web app) and the purchase of paid plans. By creating an account, you accept them. HelloHai is published by LSG HOLDING (see the legal notice).
The service
HelloHai lets you practice speaking a language with an artificial intelligence coach: conversations, role plays, corrections, reports, phrasebook, quizzes and tests. Languages offered: English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Hebrew and Arabic.
The coach is an AI: it can make mistakes. Levels and scores are progress indicators and are not an official certification.
Your account
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential. A child under 15 uses HelloHai through a profile created by a parent or through their school. The holder of a Family plan is responsible for the profiles they create.
First conversation and plans
Your first conversation is free, with no payment method required. There is no free trial beyond that. Plans for individuals and families are:
- Pro: 200 minutes of conversation per month. €20 per month, or €150 per year.
- Max: 1,500 minutes of conversation per month. €40 per month, or €200 per year.
- Family: 2 to 6 people, each with up to 1,500 minutes of conversation per month. €30 per person per month, or €150 per person per year. A person can be added during the subscription: the extra amount is charged pro rata for the current period.
Prices include VAT. Minutes are the time spent speaking out loud with the coach. Up-to-date plan details are on the Pricing page.
Payment, renewal and cancellation
You pay by card through Stripe, or through the App Store if you subscribe from the iPhone app (Apple’s terms then apply to payment and refunds). Subscriptions are paid in advance for the chosen period (month or year) and renew automatically.
You can cancel at any time from “Manage my subscription”: renewal stops and you keep access until the end of the paid period. A period that has started is not refunded, except in the cases below.
If a payment fails, new attempts are made automatically; if it is not settled, access to paid features may be suspended.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have 14 days after subscribing to withdraw (articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). If you ask to use the service right away, you acknowledge that it starts immediately; if you then withdraw, an amount proportional to the service already provided may be kept, and the right of withdrawal no longer applies once the service has been fully provided.
Price changes
Prices may change for new subscriptions. For an active subscription, any change is announced by email at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.
Schools and companies
HelloHai Schools and HelloHai Business are reserved for professionals. They are governed by their own quote or contract, and their prices exclude VAT. The consumer right of withdrawal does not apply.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use HelloHai for illegal, hateful, violent or sexual content, not to try to divert the coach from its role, bypass the service’s limits or extract its content automatically, and not to share your account beyond your plan. Scenarios you create are moderated. In case of breach, we may suspend or close the account.
Intellectual property
HelloHai, its coaches, voices, visuals, scenarios and software remain the property of LSG HOLDING or its partners. You keep your own words; you allow us to process them to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.
Availability and liability
We do our best to keep HelloHai available and reliable, but cannot guarantee it will be free of interruptions or errors. Our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage, to the extent permitted by law; nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If there is a significant change, we will let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If there is a problem, please write to us first at hello@gethellohai.com: we always look for an amicable solution. Failing agreement, the courts with jurisdiction are those provided for by law.
